     MANILA – After a banner season last year that saw a total of 214,448 participants, the Philippines’ oldest running event returns with the launching of the 37th MILO Marathon last June 20 (Thursday) at the Bayview Park Hotel.  Not resting on its recent gains, the organizers have come up with further improvements to enhance its status as the country’s most prestigious footrace.

     Just like last year, 17 qualifying races will be conducted all over the archipelago beginning with the kickoff leg in Puerto Princesa City on June 30.  Succeeding legs will be held in the cities of Lipa (July 7), Naga (July 14), San Pablo (July 21), Metro Manila (July 28), Iloilo (August 4), Dumaguete (August 11), Tagbilaran (September 15), Cebu (September 22), Cagayan de Oro (September 29), Butuan (October 6), Davao (October 13), General Santos (October 20), Baguio (November 3), Dagupan (November 10), Tarlac (November 17)…
